Ready to Thrive in a Post-Lockdown World?
At Thrive, this upcoming period means a great deal in getting back to standard real estate practice, as nothing compares to meeting clients face-to-face.
Simply walking through your home helps us piece all the critical parts of the puzzle together to maximise your sale price.
Metro Melbourne is on the cusp of being ‘back to normal’ with travel to Regional Victoria opening up. Both areas will operate on the same level of restrictions, and we will be able to inspect properties and attend auctions in more significant numbers.
The roadmap and announcements made so far have indicated some key changes in real estate services from 6pm on Friday 29 October 2021.
The expected settings, to be confirmed, are summarised below.
Please note, this information has not yet been fully documented in the DHHS Directions and could change significantly.
Inspections
– Opens are expected to resume for fully vaccinated patrons only.
– Agents and any other agency employees at the opens need to be fully vaccinated.
– Patrons who are unvaccinated or unwilling to share their vaccination status may only inspect by private appointment, one household at a time.
– Routine inspections are likely to be permitted where the property manager considers it essential.
– Any employees of the agency visiting the property need to be fully vaccinated.
Auctions
– In-person auctions are expected to resume for fully vaccinated patrons only.
– Agents and any other agency employees at the opens need to be fully vaccinated.
– Patrons who are unvaccinated or unwilling to share their vaccination status may only bid online.
– Fully vaccinated staff may return to the office, but density quotients will apply.
Density quotients are likely to be 1 per 2 sqm for outdoor interaction and 1 per 4 sqm for indoor exchange.
As you can see, there is a bit to digest, so the REIV will provide updates as further information becomes available. This is a guide only and will be confirmed after the DHHS Directions are available.
